How to Evaluate a Bottle Supplier in One Call
Six questions that separate a factory from a trading desk, and the answers that should make you suspicious.
Most suppliers sound the same on a website. These six questions are hard to answer well without the factory behind them.
The free Bottle Spec Checker tests whether your neck fits the closure and whether the wall survives a pump stroke.

Ask for the Certificate Number, Not the Logo
An ISO 9001 certificate has a number and a validity date that can be checked with the issuing body. A logo on a website cannot.
Ask Which Process, and Why
A supplier who answers 'injection' or 'blow' without asking about your neck has not understood the question.
Ask What They Will Not Do
The useful answer is a refusal: no FDA claim without a test, no printing on a wet surface, no 500-piece run of a custom shape.
Ask Who Signs the Drawing
If the answer is a salesperson, the technical review is happening after the price — which is where projects fail.
Ask for One Customer Reference in Your Market
Not a logo wall. One reference that matches your volume and your category.
Ask What Happens if a Batch Fails
A written process beats a promise. Replacement, credit or rework — and who pays the freight.
Questions We Get on This
What is the biggest red flag?
A price with no specification behind it.
Do I need a factory visit?
Helpful, not required. A video call with the QC lab answers most of it.
Is a trading company always worse?
No — but ask who makes the tool and who signs the inspection report.
