28/410 Neck: for 500–750 ml and Heavier Pumps

28/410 is the neck for larger bottles and heavier pumps. It is also where wall thickness stops being a detail and starts being the specification.
28/410 is 28 mm with a 410 thread, used on 500–750 ml bottles where a 24 mm pump would look small and dose too slowly.

When 28/410 Is the Right Choice
Above 500 ml, and whenever the pump is heavy-duty: shampoo, body wash in bulk, pet shampoo, detergent.
750 ml
28/410 is effectively mandatory; 24/410 looks undersized.
500 ml
Either neck works; 28/410 when the pump is large or the product thick.
The Wall Requirement
0.65 mm at the shoulder for a 28/410 pump. Below that the bottle deforms under a stroke and draws air.
Where It Fails
A 28/410 pump on a 28/415 bottle threads on and leaks — the same 410/415 trap as at 24 mm.
How to Confirm the Neck Before Ordering
The 28/410 code is a diameter plus a thread profile, and both have to match for 500–750 ml with heavier pumps.
Measure T, E and H
T is thread height, E is the gap between threads, H is the height to the sealing surface.
Send the Closure
A pump that fits a drawing can leak on a bottle. Test the pair, not the part.
Check the Drawing, Not the Photo
Two bottles can look identical and differ by 5 mm of thread.
